Students Admissions Criteria and Process

 

1. ENROLMENT CRITERIA FOR POTENTIAL STUDENTS ADMITTED INTO DIFFERENT COURSES AT CAWM, MWEKA

 

1.1. SPECIAL COURSE

  1. Any potential students who can not meet entry qualification for certificate will join but possess (a form four certificate) Special course to enable him/her later if successfully completed to join certificate course. To join Certificate s/he must scores a GPA 2.7 IIB and above.

 

1.2. CERTIFICATE COURSE.

  1. Secondary school education up to form four (National Form Four Certificate) with credit passes in Biology, Geography, English, Agriculture, Chemistry, Mathematics. Four credits (C and above) pass.
  2. Or possession of a Certificate from Pasiansi Wildlife College in Mwanza, Tanzania.
  3. Or Pass (certificate) of secondary education from African countries.
  4. Or possession of a special course Certificate College of African Wildlife Management Mweka.

 

1.3. TWO YEARS ORDINARY & THREE YEARS ADVANCED DIPLOMA COURSE.

  1. Two (2) Principle pass in the following subjects (Biology, Agriculture, Geography, Nutrition etc).
  2. Or Certificate of Mweka with a GPA 3.5 and above.
  3. Or Certificate from a recognized institutions of teaching Wildlife Management, e.g. Garua Wildlife College in Cameroon, Botswana Wildlife College in Botswana etc.

 

1.4. POSTGRADUATE DIPLOMA

  1. Possession of non-wildlife management Bachelor Degree like Agriculture forestry etc.

 

2. ADMISSION PROCESS.

 

2.1.              All applications are received in the Principal’s Office.

2.2.              The Admission Committee will convene a meeting to select potential students basing on the above criteria.

2.3.              All the application will be answered

2.3.1.        Success applicants will be sent joining instructions and when to join the College.

2.3.2.        Unsuccessful applicants will be informed that they were unable to meet the qualification for admission.

2.3.3.        Some will be advised by the Admission Committee to be enrolled in lower course if they do qualify e.g. applied for Diploma but qualification meets Certificate, or applied for Certificate but qualification meets special course.

2.4 Students join the College in August each year but also can join in January.
